ABOUT:
Shamika is the Marketing Operations Coordinator at the Â鶹´«Ã½, where she helps ensure the Marketing team runs with efficiency and impact. Although born and raised in Washington, Shamika proudly calls Idaho home. Her professional journey in the Treasure Valley began in the agricultural and commodity manufacturing industry, but she was drawn to CWI in April 2022 by its community-focused mission and the personal influence of her own community college experience in Washington state.
Having benefitted from a dual-credit program throughout high school, Shamika is passionate about the accessible and affordable education CWI provides. After two years supporting the Operations team, followed by one year split between Human Resources and Marketing & Communications, she is excited to bring her skills in coordination, organization, and cross-functional collaboration to the Marketing team. In her new role, she supports key processes, projects, and outreach initiatives that advance the College’s brand and strategic goals. Shamika is energized by the opportunity to help students discover what CWI has to offer and is committed to supporting the institution’s broader mission to transform lives through education.
Outside of work, Shamika enjoys DIY home projects, exploring Idaho with her mini-Aussie, fishing, camping, volunteering in the Nampa community, and spending quality time with her friends and family but especially her niece and nephews.
