Career: Kayla is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) joining CWI as an adjunct faculty member with 20 years of medical experience. At the age of 17 she began her career as a certified nursing assistant. She worked in this capacity for many years while obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Boise State University in 2010. As a registered nurse (RN), she worked at St. Lukes in the float pool for two years before she settled into her dream job as a Labor and Delivery nurse in 2012. After a few years in that position, she then transferred to Saint Alphonsus where she continued to support women and families as an RN for four years. In 2018 she obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing degree as a FNP from Northwest Nazarene University. After obtaining her FNP, Kayla worked as a primary care provider in private practice for two years before transitioning into her current role as a mobile urgent care provider with Table Rock Mobile Medicine full time.
Personal Life: Kayla is a Nampa native, and happily married mother of five. Her family is her pride and joy. On her time off she enjoys spending time outdoors, going on adventures with her family, and traveling. She is actively involved in her church and loves doing local and abroad short term mission trips. Someday she hopes to participate in a medical mission serving as an RN or FNP.
