Âé¶¹´«Ã½'s (CWI) Studio Art students are getting real-world insight into what life may be like as a professional artist and the steps to get there! CWI's Studio Art Capstone (ARTS 290) course met with local artist, , as part of the College's Visiting Artist Series Wednesday, April 19.
Erin Cunningham makes paintings to explore inconsistencies in human memory. She is interested in how we build our personal histories through the objects and images we surround ourselves with. Some of her other recent work has shifted direction from the mind to explore the experiences of the physical body during illness and regeneration. She holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Boise State University, where she also currently works as an instructor in the Art Department.
Cunningham’s lecture discussed her art practice. She provided students with amazing advice with tangible and practical ways to take their next steps as artists and art professionals.
