English Language Literacy

A core part of every student’s successful learning experience is having a solid foundation of literacy skills: the abilities to speak, read, write, comprehend, and communicate in the English language. At Âé¶¹´«Ã½'s (CWI) Writing & AI Literacy Center, we offer support for all students seeking to build their English language literacy. 

Our Services

Set yourself up to thrive as a learner by partnering with us on your language acquisition journey. with one of our consultants to: 

  • Practice reading, speaking, and writing skills while working on any assignment content. 
  • Build the knowledge and confidence to overcome language barriers. 
  • Find a supportive multilingual community, helpful resources, and options for ongoing language development. 

Work with Us

Find support that works for you: 

  • Meet with a consultant for one-on-one sessions, in person or virtually. 
  • Send a draft of your writing, along with your questions, through ACES, our email service. A consultant will read your draft, answer your questions, and send feedback directly to your email.  
  • Walk-ins are also welcome; feel free to stop by any of the Writing & AI Literacy Center locations. Keep in mind, scheduling a session is best for finding an available consultant.

Free Classes & Workshops

Building your language proficiency takes time, a lot of practice, and a supportive community. CWI offers free classes in Nampa, Boise, and various community locations. Workshops on a variety of topics, including computer skills, building your business, and English in healthcare careers are also available, to all students, through the College’s Adult Education program.
